BIOGRAPHY
DJ Shannyn Hill (she/her) is a versatile, multi-genre Event and Major League Sports in-game DJ hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Born into a traditional Jamaican household, her deep love for music is heavily influenced by her father's love for 60s/70s/80s Reggae, Soul, and Disco. She's known for captivating audiences with her remarkable ability to gauge the energy of the crowd, effortlessly crafting the perfect sonic atmosphere for any event.
She fell in love with the art of DJing in 2020 after being inspired by the story of Grandmaster Flash. What began as a healthy outlet to navigate her mental health has, five years later, blossomed from a small hobby into a purpose-driven career.

Shannyn has cemented her place in both the entertainment and sports worlds, hitting major milestones such as making history as the first DJ for Canada’s inaugural WNBA game in Toronto (2023), serving as the in-game DJ for the PWHL Battle on Bay Street Game (2025), and performing at Toronto’s first Rolling Loud music festival (2022). Her resume also includes sharing stages with a variety of acclaimed artists, and opening for major acts such as, Flo Rida, The Wailers, Tinashe, and Skratch Bastid to name a few.​​
Living by her motto “Enjoy The Vibes,” Shannyn uses music as a vehicle to uplift and connect people from all walks of life. A graduate of The Remix Project (December 2022), she spent nine months sharpening her technical skills, refining her artistry, and expanding her industry business knowledge.

Since then, she has gone on to collaborate with major brands and organizations, including the Peel District School Board, where she led beginner DJ, mental wellness, and entrepreneurship workshops for students ranging from kindergarten to high school.

As she continues to rise in the community and entertainment scene, her focus remains on delivering unforgettable moments, sparking joy, and sharing good energy with every crowd she plays for, all while staying true to herself.
